Joel Arpilleda

For over 20 years, Joel has worked in Information Technology (IT) both as an employee of or consultant to State governments. Joel’s experience has taken him to multiple State of California departments, various California counties, and even to other State governments including Ohio, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina.

For the State of California, Joel has excelled as a Project Manager, Project Management Office (PMO) Lead or Assistant PMO Lead, and Contract Manager for several large multi-year, multi-million dollar IT projects including the Franchise Tax Board's Enterprise Data to Revenue Project, the Case Management Information and Payrolling System managed by the Office of Systems Integration, and the California State Teachers’ Retirement System’s Pension Solution Project.

Joel has been a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) since 2003. Each year during the Causeway Classic, Joel always ends up rooting for the winning team as he has degrees from both UC Davis and Sac State including two Masters degrees - MBA with a Finance emphasis and MS in Accountancy. He shares chauffeuring duties with his wife for their four children whose journeys take them to various activities throughout the Central Valley ranging from sports and martial arts to music lessons and marching band competitions.
