Office of Systems Integration - Child Welfare Digital Services (CWDS)

CWDS includes the development of a new child welfare information system (CWS-CARES) to replace several legacy systems that support child welfare professionals in all 58 counties provide the vital assistance, oversight, and case management of California’s most vulnerable populations. CWS-CARES uses an agile development methodology and human-centered design.

Charis provided implementation services for the initial deployment of Digital Services to the counties, including implementation planning and management, organizational change management, user training, and readiness/go-live support. Charis staff also provided business analysis and product strategy expertise to project leadership.

CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF CONSERVATION, RISK BASED DATA MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Charis provides application development support the Department of Conservation’s California Geologic Energy Management (CalGEM) Division in the maintenance of a risk-based data management system that monitors oilfield injection wells operating in the State of California. The system is built on the Risk Based Data Management System (RBDMS) architecture, supporting a searchable injection well database that allows the Department, in concert with the EPA, to manage permitting and enforcement of injection activities across the State.

Information System (CA-MMIS) Division 

Charis provides project management, technical, and business analysis services to support ongoing business, project management office, and executive team activities. Our team of senior project managers supports the delivery of CA-MMIS services and ongoing application updates for a multitude of State branches and fiscal intermediary vendors. Charis staff also develop and implement Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) capabilities to meet CA-MMIS priorities and timelines. Charis drives ITSM capability implementation based upon our client’s priorities and the multitude of available client-owned software solutions.
