The Need

The California Medicaid Management Information System (CA-MMIS) Operations Division implements California’s Fee-for-Service Medicaid program, Medi-Cal. The project required 1) implementation and operation of a large-scale project management office, tasked with serving the diverse needs of a large operations-based organization, 2) support development and implementation of a service management service line and 3) providing mission critical project leadership and executive decision support across a large, dynamic organization

The Work

Charis provides project management, technical and business analysis, and executive support services. This includes providing leadership and subject matter expertise for specific technical solutions and delivery, project management office support, service management capabilities delivery, and a tailored approach to executive support. Charis works collaboratively with State and vendor staff to deliver these services based on our client’s priorities and timeframes.

The Results

Our team of senior project managers 1) help our client respond to ever-changing project priorities and customer needs, and 2) help deliver CA-MMIS services for a multitude of state branches and fiscal intermediary vendors, supporting the Medi-Cal program for Californians.
