The Need

The Department of Conservation’s California Geologic Energy Management (CalGEM) Division uses a risk-based data management system to monitor oilfield injection wells operating in the State of California. This system required maintenance to improve efficiency.

The Work

Charis provided application development support for this system upgrade. The system is built on the Risk Based Data Management System (RBDMS) architecture, supporting a searchable injection well database that allows the Department, in concert with the EPA, to manage permitting and enforcement of injection activities across the state.

The Results

The Charis team provided application support during the key system upgrade, allowing our community better oversight into injection activities to achieve better conservation outcomes.
